Graham’s Challenge

A personal message from club president Graham

Each year the Rotary Club President has the honour of choosing which charities or social groups they would like to support during the Presidential year. This year it is my pleasure to support two organisations, Breast Cancer Now and Rock School Bus.

You can learn more about why I chose these organisations here.

As president, when it comes to fundraising, I feel its my duty to lead the way and set  challenges that will help bring in funds for my chosen charities. I am hoping to reach £2000 by the end of the Rotary Year so please donate generously to these worthwhile causes.

The challenges I have set for myself are:

1. Swim the Channel (or equivalent 42 miles in a swimming pool),

2. Cycle 1000 miles by the end of June 2026

3. Do the Couch to 5k run challenge.

So far, as of 11th August I have managed to swim a total of 15 miles in the first 4 weeks at a mile each day.  Only another 27 miles to go.
