Rain didn't stop play on children's day out
The occasional shower didn’t dampen the fun at Spalding Rotary’s annual visit to Wicksteed Park, near Kettering.
Every year Spalding Rotary Club, in partnership with the Tulip Academy, take youngsters with disabilities to enjoy a day at the fairground.
The 2026 Rotary Children’s Fun Day took place in June and brought over 1,500 local children with disabilities, special educational needs, or young carers for a special day out.
Jim Tyner, club president, said ‘We are delighted to take part in this annual event. Rotary aims to provide as many disadvantaged children as possible with an experience they would not ordinarily have the opportunity to enjoy. We are helping create lasting memories’.
