Spalding Rotary Club sponsor over 70 local children
for a fun day out.

The Rotary Children’s Fun Day took place on Wednesday 11th June. Spalding Rotary Club provided funds for pupils with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities to have a wonderful day out. The club provided transport for 73 pupils and 23 staff from Spalding’s Tulip Academy to join over 2,000 children from across the East Midlands for a day of fun at Wicksteed Park, near Kettering.
'Making a difference to people's lives'
Spalding Rotary Club member Bob Bradley, and his wife Jill, have been involved in this annual event for 25 years.
What started from small beginnings, taking about 35 children, has grown significantly. This year, Rotary Clubs across the East Midlands supported 2,220 children and their carers.
Bob said ‘Yesterday was superb! It’s fun, energetic, rewarding and humbling. It’s been a pleasure and privilege for me to be part of Rotary, making a difference to people’s lives, even for a day!’
