World Polio Day

End Polio NowRotary has been working to eradicate polio for more than 35 years. Our goal of ridding the world of this disease is closer than ever. Today, polio remains endemic only in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Rotarians worldwide have 24th October marked in their diary every year to celebrate the work Rotary has done towards ridding the world of polio and 2023 was no different.

From lighting up local landmarks to planting purple crocuses and heading out into the community proudly wearing their End Polio Now shirts, Rotarians found a variety of ways to mark World Polio Day.

This year, 2024, we will be collecting donations at Spalding Market on 22nd October.  See our Events Calendar for more information.
